Speaking at a presentation to Danila, Michael O Connell, Chair Gurranabraher Credit Union said “this new initiative was developed by Gurranabraher Credit Union to support excellence in Schools.  We believe that exceptional talent abounds in the Northside Secondary Schools and we believe now is the time to nurture and recognise those talents to a wider audience.  Danila project is proof of this talent”.  “We believe that if we recognise the work that students and teachers do it will not only create a feeling of value for that student, but also inspire their peers.”

Students are nominated every month from the participating schools and are reviewed by an awards committee and a monthly winner is chosen and announced at an event at the Credit Union.

Each monthly Student recipient will receive a small token for their win and at the end of the school year an annual overall winner will be chosen and announced at a formal event.   Gurranabraher Credit Union will also present the winning Students Schools with sponsorship cheque for € 2500.
