What is PhotoGo?
Following the success of the inaugural PhotoGo Project in 2019, Sample-Studios is delighted to partner with Gurranabraher Credit Union to launch the PhotoGo 2020 online photo competition. The competition welcomes photos which highlight local areas; Gurranabraher, Knocknaheeny, Holyhill and Churchfield and celebrate the theme of ‘legacy’ in this important centenary year of commemoration in Cork.
How do I get involved?
Digital photo submissions from members of the community are invited from Friday 18th September, Culture Night and close at 5pm on the 18th of October. Submissions can be sent as attachments (to firstname.lastname@example.org with ‘PhotoGo’ in the subject heading (Max 3 submitted photos per person. Maximum 3MB file size and minimum 300 d.p.i).
If you are a member of a local camera club, please include details of which club you are a member of. A curated selection of submitted photos will be exhibited in a special online exhibition and in the Lord Mayor’s Pavilion in Fitzgerald’s Park during the October Bank Holiday weekend, with prizes for winning entries, kindly sponsored by Gurranabraher Credit Union. The PhotoGo Award prize will be selected by a panel. The Peoples’ Voice award selected by public vote via Gurranbraher Credit Union social media platforms.
